The Lelo Mia

Lust objectified. Lelo could not have been more accurate with their tagline. When this product launched in July, I immediately added it to my mental list of toys to purchase....and began to beg the lovely staff at edenfantasys to allow me to review it. Someone must love me, because I only had to beg for three days before Mia made her way to my door.

Lelo is a company based in Sweden, hailed by the sex community for their contemporary designs, fantastic materials, and high quality design. I lusted for a piece of my own, waiting for the right one to cross my path.

I tore, literally TORE into the box when it arrived. I was presented with a pale pink, glossy box with LELO embossed in silver across the top. The packaging is a plus to me. (I get a little tired of the porn star trimmed boxes toys traditionally come encased in.) I hated to open it, I loved the petite box, almost like a pretty gift you just want to preserve. I opened the end of the box and slid out a black box with another LELO embossed in it. I was giddy. I pulled the cover off the box, and there she was. Pink, precious, and petite. A jump drive.

This is the very feature that made this toy irresistible to me. The Mia is a rechargeable vibe, utilizing a USB port. As a matter of fact, as I write this, Mia is charging--plugged directly into my laptop. She also comes with a USB cord, but mine is plugged directly into the port. A full two hours of charging will give the user four hours of uninterrupted play. Not that I have tested this theory, but let's just say I did not charge it when I opened it, I played with it a full 26 hours later, and she was as strong as when she is fully charged. I am confident that she will perform as indicated.

Now, for those of us who are visually impaired, I wanted to provide readers with a realistic size comparison of Mia. She is a lipstick style vibe. Weighs practically nothing. The portability of Mia is incredible. She is made out of plastic and silicone. Body safe, but I do not recommend inserting Mia ANYWHERE. She is a clit vibe, plain and simple. The cap is tapered and flat for both pinpoint stimulus and full on buzzes. I could not resist playing with it first thing, so I started hitting the little plus sign on the side. It has four noticeable speeds, and when I topped out, my hand went numb. I could not hold it for too long, it was that intense. I held on for a few more seconds and tested the vibe modes out. It has three different patterns, each pulsing at different speeds and intervals. Hold the minus button, and she cycles down and off. Now, let's talk noise. Mia is a quiet whiner. Meaning that she will not wake up anyone in the room with you, but she does emit this high pitched sound. From what I understand, this is commonplace with Lelo toys. (What do you want? It's a quality piece of machinery, and like the rockstars say, if it's too loud, YOU'RE TOO OLD!!) But, nothing could talk me out of playing with her, not even her pissy voice. Now, I am to understand Mia comes equipped with Lelo's "intuitive interface." What this means, I have no clue, and have yet to find a source to define it. (any help??) When I find out, you folks will be the first to know.
